Frequently asked questions
Assessment and pricing
Is the power assessment really free?
Yes. You send your load, outage and generator data. We send an assessment report with a recommended system, an outage simulation, a reference equipment list and a suggested retail price range. There is no fee and no obligation.
Why don't you show prices on the website?
The right system depends on your loads, outages, site and trade terms. A price list would be wrong for most sites. Your own assessment report includes a suggested retail price range.
Do I pay for the detailed design?
No design deposit. The detailed proposal, full simulation and drawings come with your order.
What trade terms do you offer?
Prices in USD, CIF to your nearest port by default (for example Durban, Manila or Cebu); DDP to site on request. Payment: 30% deposit, 70% before shipment by T/T, or L/C for large orders.
Systems
Can you work with my existing generator?
Yes. Most systems keep the existing generator as backup, started and stopped automatically by the energy management system.
What battery do you use?
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP), with a battery management system and remote monitoring. LFP is safer and longer-lasting than other lithium chemistries for stationary storage.
What brands do you use?
We are brand-neutral. Every proposal offers two qualified brand options that meet the specification. We choose equipment by certification, warranty, after-sales support in your country and field results.
What sizes do you work with?
Mostly 30 kW to 1 MW for factories, farms and commercial sites. We also deliver larger projects on request.
Delivery and installation
Who installs the system?
A TF PowerProof Certified Partner in your country. Our engineers review every installation checkpoint remotely and sign off commissioning.
Can I use my own installer?
Yes. Your installer can join the Certified Partner Program for free, buy the system package from us and build it to our checkpoints.
What contract options do I have?
Usually you buy from and sign with a TF PowerProof Certified Partner in your country, who supplies, installs and services the system with our design and engineering support. For large projects, a turnkey contract with TF PowerProof is also possible.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the system, equipment availability and shipping to your country. We confirm the delivery time and schedule in your proposal.
After start-up
What warranty do I get?
Two parts. Each piece of equipment carries its original manufacturer warranty (battery and inverter warranties are often longer than 3 years; the exact terms are in your proposal). On top of that, TF PowerProof gives a 3-year system warranty: the system design passes the acceptance tests agreed in your proposal, such as outage switchover and generator control, and for those 3 years we handle manufacturer warranty claims for you, diagnose faults remotely and pay freight on replacement parts. The system warranty starts when the installation passes our acceptance checks. Simulated savings and yields are estimates, not guaranteed values.
Who services the system?
Your Certified Partner handles site visits. Our engineers monitor the system remotely and manage warranty and spare parts.
Do you take back old batteries?
No. Old batteries must go to a licensed recycler in your country. We include the expected disposal cost in your lifetime calculation.
