Off-grid power for telecom sites, Saudi Arabia

More than 30 remote telecom base stations needed power every hour of the year, with no grid and no one on site. The design had to keep a 6 kW continuous load running through five days without sun.

Before the final design, we recommended installing a DC energy meter at each site to measure the real load for several weeks. Telecom loads are often well below the nameplate figure, and measuring first avoids paying for battery capacity the site never uses.
